So, you’ve got your venue on lock. Congratulations! You’re finally going down the list of vendors you’d like for your wedding. Your list might consists of a Catering company, florist, wedding planner, hair & makeup, officiant, photographer, and then you see “the Videographer.” I know what you’re thinking. “Really? Do I NEED a videographer?” The answer to that is whether or not you care about these five core reasons for hiring a wedding videographer.

1. You Alleviate Your Wedding Day Stress

I know what you’re thinking. “How will hiring a wedding videographer alleviate my stress. If anything isn’t adding another vendor adds to my stress?” While it may be true when you’re booking your vendors, it isn’t the case during the wedding day. Think about it! There’s nothing better than having a team of talented professional vendors with you by your side on your wedding day. We’re all hired to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly so you can take all your time soaking up the day and celebrating with your family and friends. Plus you’ll save your grandmother’s friend’s running up on the isle trying to record the ceremony for you.

2. Captures the Moments You’ve Missed

With a videographer you’ll never feel FOMO, fear of missing out, because you can relive and watch everything that happened that day while you’re getting your hair and makeup done, or when you’re waiting to walk down the isle and your cute baby niece is sprinkling flower pedals down the isle. I’ll even capture Uncle John being out in the dance floor tearing it up! You never thought he could move like that and neither did I but we’ll have proof!

3. Motion & Sound

One of my favorite parts of a wedding is when the couple is exchanging personal vows and toasts that happens during the reception. This is one of the unique reasons why you’d want a wedding videographer. A wedding videographer would capture these and you can rewatch this for years to come. Allowing you to just relax and take in the moment in. You can listen and reflect on those vows you say to each other. These are things to cherish and remember forever.

4. Your Wedding Film Are Easily Sharable!

Nowadays, we’re able to upload wedding films onto many different platforms so you can share it with your loved ones! The files sizes aren’t as huge as it once were so it wouldn’t take hours to download a video. Additionally, you can share your film with a relative that’s unable to attend, making them feel like they were there with you.

5. Finally, this film is a Timeless Memory

Your wedding film is something you can relive over and over again. It could be passed down forever and your loved ones can remember what everyone looked like. It’s like a moment captured in time but you get to see them move and hear how excited they were during your wedding. I still have a tape of my parent’s wedding back in China. They still love that film till this day.
These are the 5 reasons why you MUST hire a wedding videographer for your wedding! If you’re thinking “well I cannot afford a wedding videographer!” That’s a very valid concern. Nowadays there’s a lot of wedding videographers that offer their services at a lower price. SOME might even offer for free. However, you just won’t get the same quality and you’ll be sacrificing stuff like audio. But you’ll still have a wedding film!

I’m a firm believer that you should get a wedding videographer and if those reasons aren’t enough for you then check out the feedback from other brides.
“ I'm pretty sentimental, and I'm the type of person that would watch the video repeatedly throughout the years. Video can carry a lot more emotional weight than photos over time. My mom passed when I was a teenager, and my aunts wedding video is the only recording I have of her voice now.”
“We skipped it after getting a lot of feedback from people we knew who already got married. It's our only wedding regret. We had an amazing photographer and have hundreds of photos, but I really really REALLY wish we had videos too.”
“I love our photos but they don't make me cry like our video does. It was nice having all of the important moments like our first look (we both were surprised that we were crying - DH isn't a crier), our vows (even more crying), speeches (our BM had us laughing so hard!), the first dance, parent dances, etc. but it was equally nice to have all of the little moments that made the day so special and the moments we missed (it goes so fast and your attention is everywhere). I can tell you we don't regret spending the money it cost to have video but I definitely would be sad not to have that video of my 90-year-old grandpa dancing into our reception!”
